RMDA Board of Directors Meeting: July 7, 2025

On July 7, 2025, the RMDA board convened to review recent actions, form new committees, and take a close look at the association’s finances. Here’s a quick recap of what happened.

Approved motions

  • Minutes approved: The board formally approved the minutes from the July 1, 2025 emergency meeting.

  • Committees formed: To streamline work in key areas, the board established several committees:

    • Bylaws Committee

    • Conference Committee

    • DSP Policy Committee

    • Ethics/Membership Committee

    • Finance Committee

These committees will guide decisions on governance documents, event planning, delivery service platform policies, membership standards, and financial oversight.

Financial snapshot

The finance update included a “mini‑metrics” row showing cash on hand, year‑to‑date revenue, and the conference fund:

  • Current balance: $36,857

  • Previous month closing balance: $35,000

  • Nash principal debt: $139,000

Payments made

  • $22,000 toward conference expenses

  • $4,000 to Christine Walter

  • $17,500 in Nash fee rebates

Outstanding items

  • Approximately $1,300 in reimbursements still to be processed

  • A small legal bill has been paid

Overall, the board noted that the current cash balance is slightly higher than the previous month, despite significant payments for the upcoming conference and rebates.

Looking ahead

The next board meeting is scheduled for September 11, 2025. Board members plan to review progress from the newly formed committees and prepare for the RMDA conference.
